My new book "The Journey" which will be the sequel to Am I Not a Person, is going to be available very soon in paperback.  "The Journey" details my battle with a compulsive eating disorder. A brutally honest book if it helps one person then I have achieved my aim.  Use this link to read what Smudge Film Productions are saying about Sylvia Hurts new film.
I suffered at the hands of people who should have cared, now in my fifties and a disabled person, life is for living! – I tell myself that everyday.
"Victims of abuse should not suffer in silence"
I have had to forgive those who have abused me to move forward, I know that I do not have to talk to them or even see them.  I have blanked them out of my life.  These people have to live with it themselves.I’m am not saying I do not have flashbacks of the rapes and sex abuse because I do, and it is terrible while it lasts.  Everyday I tell myself that I am worthy of all the good things in life like my lovely children and grandchildren. So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE treat yourself kindly – you are worth it!Please read my story in my book as I know that as a victim of rape and abuse, you will be able to relate to the torture of rape and abuse, and to help you understand that you are not the only one who has suffered.

Through the sales of my books, I hope to set up a "Sylvia Hurt Foundation" and raise enough money to buy a building here in Nottingham for abuse survivors to help them get the counselling they need to rebuild their lives.
Please feel free to browse through my site and e-mail me.Thank you, Sylvia Hurt
